To open skies and far horizons. Art Director: The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. Visual Development: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Former/future indiedev.
I'm an art director and illustrator based in Los Angeles. I'm deeply inspired by nature—from desert to mountaintop—and I love passing along some of that wonder in my art. My wife is convinced I was a tree in a past life.
In 2019, after a road trip through some of America’s most breathtaking National Parks, I stepped away from a career directing video games in Seattle to reconnect with my passion for painting and animation art. Since then, I've done work for a variety of studios including Sony, Netflix, DreamWorks, Axis Animation, and Disney TV. My credits include Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The Ghost and Molly McGee, and art-directing the animated adaptation of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse.
I'm mostly self-taught as a painter. I hold a degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington (just don't ask me to code anything!) In my spare time I head for the nearest open sky to hike, paint, and practice photography.
