Before animation, I worked on videogames for nearly 10 years at Seattle studio Harebrained Schemes. I have so many amazing memories of HBS—I met my wife and many of my closest friends there. It's a very special team (and they're working on something really cool these days too!) BATTLETECH (2018) was the last and biggest game I worked on there. I was the Game Director and Art Director for the project. It was a challenging three years, but we were proud of the results and I have to say our team punched way above our weight with this one. These are a few of the more finished illustrations and designs I did for the game from 2015 to 2018. My workflow and style has changed a lot since, but I'm still happy with how these turned out—and I remember them being big turning-point pieces for me. (The first one even made it into Spectrum!)
